Jon Cozakos

1938 – 2013
Jon H. Cozakos passed away on February 24, 2013 at the age of 74. He was born on August 29, 1938 to Harry and Helen Cozakos in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the Naval Reserves for six years; two years of active duty in Japan. He worked forty years for Albertson’s, Inc. and retired as Vice President of the Western Washington Division. He was also a member and served as Secretary of the Gig Harbor Sportsman’s Club. Jon was an avid sportsman; enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and serving as car hauler, and pit crew for son Steven. He fought a long and courageous battle with illness-never giving in or up and was tough to the end. Survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Carla. Beloved father of Jonalee, Steven, Dorothy; grandfather of five wonderful grandchildren Kristin Huebsch, Jennifer Potter, Jon Potter, David and Phillip Olson; and one great granddaughter Bridget.
