If you've been to the rifle/pistol range in the last few months, you have seen a plethora of positive changes. Under new management, our new Chairs, Dan and Rich, have been nothing short of remarkable in the things they have accomplished.
One of the goals that they continue to work on is to have a higher female participation rate. This is being accomplished in many ways, one of which is through the recruitment of additional female range officers, to augment our already awesome existing female, and male, range officers. The range recently had the very first female-only range officer day, with Angela, Mary and Ruth running the range during normal operations, and Julie running the Sunday clay competition. They did an amazing job! Thank you, Ladies!! Those who came to use the range were delighted with their outstanding service.
We have one range officer who enjoys bringing in goodies to share, much to the joy of everyone! Ruth didn't disappoint, bringing a tray of delectables and a refreshing beverage. There are no guarantees, but who knows, if Ruth is on duty the next time you visit the rifle/pistol range you just may find a treat on the table outside of the entrance, for your added enjoyment. Remember, it's the quick and the hungry so if her goodies are there don't be shy!
Be sure to come and check out the improvements at the rifle/pistol range. You'll see lots of new, smiling faces working at the range and will be pleased with what you see, no doubt! Women, come enjoy the fun! Men, invite your wives, girlfriends/significant others. Make it your date-night activity! It's also a family-friendly sport, so bring your sons and daughters, brothers, sisters, moms, dads....you get the idea. Be forewarned, however, if you bring the young-un's. With their sharp eyes they can be quite the sharpshooters, so don't be surprised if they outshoot you!
