Basic Handgun Safety Course
2019 Handgun Safety Classes
The intent of this class is for those who would like to become more familiar with safety aspects, operation, confidence and competence in handgun usage. GHSC Rifle & Pistol Range Safety Orientation is included in this training.
Instruction includes twelve hours of firearms familiarization, handgun selection, firearm safe handling and storage, fundamentals of handgun marksmanship, basic loading and unloading skills, and malfunction clearing. Instruction provided through a three-hour classroom lecture and nine hour coached live fire practice.

Cost is $100 Class limit is 8 Early registration is encouraged as classes fill up quickly.
Paid deposit is required to reserve a seat in the class. Cancellations by students within 7 days of the class may be subject to forfeit of deposit and will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Students are required to purchase their own ammunition (approx 150 rounds per class)
*Recommend combination of 22lr and 38 special if students do not have a handgun or are unsure of the suitability of the one they currently own (hand gun ownership is not required for the class).
The class is scheduled for the following Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights 6:00-9:00 PM: Subject to date changes or cancellation depending on enrollment. In addition, the city of Gig Harbor will be making Harbor Hill Road changes that may affect range operations and class scheduling.

Please do not bring live ammunition to the Monday night classroom training. Training is in the clubhouse.
