I was born and raised in the Adirondack Mountain region of up-state New York, shooting, hunting, and fishing were a way of life that I have always enjoyed. I have been a NRA member since the age of 14 and a Life Member for over 30 years.
In 1984, I enlisted in the United States Navy. I have been on 10 deployments, was stationed abroad and retired after 20 years of service in 2005.
I have been a member of the GHSC for several years and have become a Life Member. I currently serve the club as the Sunday Trap Chairman and as an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, GHSC Range Master and GHSC Trap Range Officer. I have also contributed to the development and implementation of our Trap Range Orientation Course.
While serving as a Board Member, I have been directly involved with the approval of many of our club improvements; most notably the Shot Screen installation, both the Meet Shack and Caretaker Residence roof replacements and Trap Range Rules sign installations.
While being a Venue Chair, I have had the opportunity to work with Ducks Unlimited, the NRA, and the Emergency Food Network special events. Thus, promoting our shooting club as a safe and responsible asset to the community.
As a Board Member I support GHSC community involvement and education of the shooting sports and gun safety.
I believe a positive pro-active approach in community relations is fundamental to growth and continued success of the GHSC.
