Welcome, New Caretaker!

GIG HARBOR SPORTSMAN’S CLUB HAS A NEW CARETAKER

Gig Harbor is proud to announce our new Caretaker/Groundskeeper, Paula Baldwin. Paula was selected by the search committee from over 30 interested applicants.

Paula has a background rich with experiences, but her tenure working for California State Parks & Recreation and California Department of Corrections was instrumental in her selection to the position.

Paula was with California Department of Corrections for 17 years. While there her responsibilities increased over the years.  Initially she maintained the outside grounds, and worked her way up to a supervisory position, maintaining the safety and security of staff and inmates.  In that position, and fitting for her employment at Gig Harbor Sportsman’s Club, Paula was required to qualify on a quarterly basis with a variety of firearms.

Working for California State Parks and Recreation, Paula’s responsibilities included all the same general grounds keeping tasks as we have here at Gig Harbor Sportsman’s Club. Paula’s job also included greeting visitors to the park, and sharing park information.

There is a lot more to Paula than her prison and parks service. Please take the time to introduce yourself and welcome Paula to Gig Harbor Sportsman’s Club!
