It was a fabulous night for Ducks Unlimited supporters, waterfowl, and wetlands as a bundle of money was raised to support wetlands conservation.
A sold-out crowd gathered for an evening of fun and merriment at the Inn at Gig Harbor, this year chaired by non-other than our beloved sharpshooter, Madison Cheyney! Madison took on chairing this essential function as her 2012 Senior Project. Talk about a win-win! The event was hugely successful and Madison had an opportunity to learn and hone leadership skills, which she will carry forward into other areas of her life. Madison did an outstanding job and was surrounded and supported by a talented group of people, including other Gig Harbor Sportsman’s Club members.
“Thank you for your ongoing support to in international tradition of 75 years of conservation and preservation of waterfowl habitat. Like those before us, our efforts will help enhance and protect the quality of life now and for generations to follow. Special thanks to our local chapter committee members and regional officers who have dedicated the time and resources that make it possible to put this event together.
On a personal note, as some of you may know, chairing this year’s banquet was my senior project. I am especially thankful for those who helped make this event such a success. To all of the committee members who gave your time and effort, I could not have done this without you and cannot imagine a better group to work with for the last few months. Lastly, I’d like to thank everyone who made it to our event tonight, your support of Ducks Unlimited and myself means more to me than you know.
We hope you all had a great night and appreciate your participation in our conservation efforts!”
